‘Secrets’ is my sixth My Weekly novel and is released for sale in UK supermarkets and newsagents 9/1/20. It’s set in the nineties around the lovely canalside town of Hebden Bridge in Yorkshire.
Anne, my darling wife, had a shop there from 95-98. It was a gift shop in a magical former church on the road between Sowerby Bridge and Todmorden.
I spent many happy hours exploring and sketching the town, the canal and the nearby Clog Factory which does appear in the book. There’s an excerpt from the book’s opening pages.
