Tasmania’s an island to the south of Australia but it’s a state, nevertheless.
We lived in Tasmania (or Tassie) from late 1999 until mid 2007. During that time we lived near Huonville in the Glen Huon valley, in about 5 acres of gardens in a lovely pre-Federation homestead (pre 1900). I taught in Cygnet St James’ College.
I’ve written two novels based on my experiences there. Trouble in Paradise has been republished in large print format as Return to Tasmania
