The Rain, The Park & Other Things

Here is a collection of my short stories, many of which have been published in That’s Life magazine (Australia) and Take a Break (UK). The link is to Amazon Australia but the book is on Amazon in the UK and USA as well.

  • I’m quite proud of this anthology, having painted the cover as well.

Stories include The Pastel Blue Kangaroo and The Collector of Nothings – both available to read on my website acwilliams-author.com. Then there’s the title story based on a young woman who talks to the rain. The story served as inspiration for my novel, The Raindrop Girl recently published by DC Thomson in the UK.

A thoroughly enjoyable collection of short stories which kept me turning the pages to the end. Imaginative, satisfying and well written. It would be impossible to pick a favourite as they were all so memorable. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars A wonderful collection of short stories

This was such a wonderful collection of stories. There were laughs, twists and so much more. I think my favourite was ‘The Dating Game’ but I loved the fun twist in ‘Tourist’ and the gentle love in ‘Rainz’, then there’s the melancholy of lost love in ‘Apple Blossom Time’. There’s so much to adore in this fantastic selection of short stories. You could read one a day or the whole book in one sitting. Whatever you do, I would highly recommend this lovely book about the rain, the park and so many other things.

5.0 out of 5 stars something for everyone

A delightful smorgasbord of short stories with something to please everyone, from the gasp-out-loud twist to the thoughtful exploration of landscape and relationships. Quirky and always surprising, this is perfect to dip into with a cuppa and is guaranteed to leave you with a smile.

Although I write for the so-called women’s market, my stories have been described as quirky as well as very emotional.

And don’t forget my Linford Romance books, in large print and in many libraries in the UK and Australasia.
